I know there are some beer fans on the site, didn't know if anyone was making the trek to my backyard.

For those that don't know, its basically a beer launch party for Darklord Imperial Stout, super thick, super strong, super tasty stout that's brewed once a year and sells out in a day. Its at Three Floyds Brewery in Munster, Indiana. The event typically has a bunch of hard to find guest beers on tap (I checked the list, it looks good), live bands, good barbecue, people from all across the country (and the world) bringing their own beers and setting them on picnic tables for free sampling.

The event gets bigger each and every year, last year there were 3,000-5,000 people there. People from as far away as Canada, California, New York, Belgium and Denmark flood the place. Its just one ENORMOUS party filled with beer geeks where half the people get shitfaced by noone. Mingle around the BYOB tables and you'll be able to sample a wide variety of shit that you've never seen, heard of, or simply can't get anywhere near you. Last year there was some of the legendary Westvleteren out there for free as well. (I didn't get to it in time. Will do so this year)

Its entirely possible to get shit drunk without spending a dime, although that'd mean you're a big ass leech and might not be a good thing. Anyway, been going to this thing for the last 4 years, it gets bigger and better each year. It pretty much marks the beginning of summer for me. I almost always get a bigass sunburn turned suntan that lasts half the summer. Today is the day I ditch my pale winter-ghost skin tone.

Can't fucking wait. And if noone else is going, I promise to consume enough alcohol for the whole board. Don't be surprised if there is some insanely drunk posting around 5pm from me. Though more likely I'll just be passed out drunk somewhere.
