They need to find only one. You've ignored a very big difference
between craigslist and TBP. Craigslist fights against prostitution. I
would bet that the phone book removes escort advertisements that are
confirmed prostitution rings. TBP does nothing to prevent copyright
infringement.
You want to ignore that difference.
I've ignored what? You only came up with this argument 30 posts into
this debate. Ok, you've got a semi-fresh one. I'll address. The law is
the law. The MPAA, no matter how much they'd like to be, is not a law
enforcement agency. But the only reason TPB is being prosecuted is
because of them and similarly outraged private organizations. Whether
they get it or not, do you agree or disagree that Craig's list and
others DESERVE the same prosecution? Deserve ain't hard to agree with,
if you agree with that, do you think they would get that same
prosecution if a private citizen bitched? Probably not. Now how bout if
a private conglomerate representing dozens of major corporations
bitched? Now we're getting there. It is, as you explicitly said several
posts ago, all about money. There is no substantive difference between
what Craig's list does and what tPB does. No real difference between
what Google/youtube does and what TPB does. But one has HUGE wealthy
interests bitching against it, the other doesn't. And the next one is
too big to be challenged (google), while the other doesn't.
Those are the differences. Period.

"In a pact with more than 40 states and territories, Craigslist is taking steps to prevent people from posting classified ads that can facilitate prostitution, human trafficking, child exploitation and other illegal activities."

Read the article. Not terribly impressed. I see some token appeasement
and not much else. So is TPB's crime that it went belligerent instead of
offering said token appeasement? How is that a crime? Double trouble by
Founder's...great fucking IPA.
Anyway, I appreciate that you've adapted and improved your arguments
over the posts. Most people don't bother. It doesn't change the fact
that the only reason that there's a prosecution at all, is because BIG
MONEY private interests are behind it. And if the posts here (and
elsewhere, I do browse other boards) are any indicator, its all pretty
much a flagrant violation of Swedish law.
