  The book series that brought us all to the Westeros board where most of us know EHK from. Strange then that we have so few posts with his opinions on the series and sadly all of them here are negative, including criticism for AFFC and EHK's strong dislike for Daenerys Targaryen (Dany fans might want to steer clear). But I am sure EHK loved the series, he would not have been here otherwise and he only ever argued about topics he cared deeply about. The most amusing part is where EHK realises he is posting in General rather than General Chatter and gets drawn into a Dany argument by mistake. The saddest part is realising he never got to see the Dance.

  Has there ever been a more divisive topic in fantasy literature than Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time? In this thread EHK lays out his argument for why he dislikes WoT. I don't agree with everything he says here (I still really like the series, well except for Crossroads of Twilight and that damned bath scene of course) and it has to be said EHK was guilty of hounding his opponents a bit too strongly in several places here, borderline trolling in fact. However, he is absolutely spot on about the Forsaken being toothless incompetent villains that couldn't strike fear in the heart of a chronic bedwetter.

  EHK was absolutely blown away by R. Scott Bakker's Prince of Nothing trilogy and this topic begins with his enthusiastic and excited review immediately after reading The Thousandfold Thought. While he loved the book itself EHK loathed the character Kellhus with the passion of a thousand fiery suns. Collected here are several posts in which EHK describes in hilarious detail the various nasty ways in which he would like Kellhus to be killed off. Obviously spoilers that will rot your soul abound throughout so beware.

  EHK reviews Scott Lynch's Red Seas Under Red Skies in which he reveals a strange choice of favourite character to champion. The author himself even makes an appearance in the original thread, though not to address anything mentioned by EHK, but one of Scott's replies is included here for context.
