Washington Post caught trying to pimp out its political access and even its own reporters and editors to lobbyists
Wow...they get downright fucking transparent about it.

"Underwriting Opportunity: An evening with the right people can alter
the debate," says the one-page flier. "Underwrite and participate in
this intimate and exclusive Washington Post Salon, an off-the-record
dinner and discussion at the home of CEO and Publisher Katharine
Weymouth. ... Bring your organization’s CEO or executive director
literally to the table. Interact with key Obama administration and
congressional leaders."
What.The.Fuck? Wrote a rant just yesterday about how worthless the media
coverage of the healthcare debate was. At the time I thought it was just
shitty reporting. Now I'm not sure. So they send out the flyer, it goes
public, newsroom goes in an uproar and they tell us 'Its not what it
looks like'? Well than what the fuck is it chief? You send out a flyer
to a dinner, explicitly fucking promising that a 'night with these
people' can change the debate. Some of the 'people' being offered are
Wash. Post execs, writers, and editors. The debate is healthcare, over
which there's an ongoing PR war, the target for the fliers was the
healthcare industry....
...liberal media my fucking ass. The Washington Post just offered to
sell influence over its fucking content to corporate fucking interests.
The presumed targets of much of the coverage of that damned topic. And
if they actually didn't, they sure as fuck went out of their way to make
it look like that's what they were doing.
